Advertising Disclosure

At www.readymessages.com, we believe in being upfront about how we keep the lights on. Like most websites, we rely on advertising and affiliate partnerships to fund the time, research, and effort that goes into creating our content. This page explains exactly how that works in plain English.

How We Monetize This Site

1. Display Advertising (Those Banners & Boxes You See)

We’ve partnered with two main advertising networks:

  • Mediavine – Our primary ad partner that handles most of the visual ads you see between paragraphs, in the sidebar, and sometimes as video ads. They’re experts at making sure ads are relevant without being annoying.
  • Google AdSense – You might occasionally see Google-served ads in places where Mediavine isn’t active. These help fill gaps so we don’t miss out on potential revenue.

Why two networks? Mediavine generally pays better, but having AdSense as a backup ensures we’re always making the most of our traffic.

2. Affiliate Links (When We Recommend Products)

Sometimes we link to products we genuinely use and love. If you buy through these links:

  • We may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you)
  • You’ll often see disclaimers like:“This post contains affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through our links.”

Popular programs we work with include Amazon Associates, [Other Programs], etc.

3. Sponsored Content (Rare & Always Labeled)

On occasion, brands pay us to create specific content. When this happens:

  • The post will always start with: “This is a sponsored post in partnership with [Brand]”
  • We only accept sponsorships from companies we’d recommend anyway

Our Advertising Philosophy

We hate obnoxious ads as much as you do, so we:
✔ Limit pop-ups (only one exit-intent popup max)
✔ Never auto-play videos with sound
✔ Reject intrusive ad formats
✔ Regularly test page speed to ensure ads don’t ruin your experience

Privacy & Tracking

Like nearly all websites:

  • We use cookies to remember your preferences
  • Ad networks use data to show relevant ads (but not personally identifiable info)
  • You can opt-out via our Privacy Policy or your browser settings

Why This Matters

We share this because:

  1. It’s required by law (FTC, GDPR, etc.)
  2. We believe in radical transparency with our audience
  3. We want you to understand the value exchange – you get free content, we get small earnings from your attention
